HYDRAULIC PLATFORM LOADER : DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
OBJECTIVE & TARGET :
Customer was Indian Defence. Indian defence department was importing this type of material handling vehicles earlier. Under the flagship “Make In India” program, the initiatives were taken to design & develop such machines in India.
Such machines are used to transport heavy cargos between dockyard and cargo planes. Considering the end application, It demanded high level of accuracy & reliability to perform operations in sensitive conditions. This machine, being used in very specific application, it was very important to understand machine without physically seeing it. This demanded high level of understanding and experience.
PROJECT EXECUTION :
Our team of experts at different system levels (Structure, Hydraulics, Powertrain, Electrical/Electronics, Industrial design etc) collaborated and worked on this project for about 08 months to create a targeted vehicle design.
We followed all the necessary norms to create a machine for defence applications. Our years long exposure with different components suppliers helped us to use the best solution within defined time frame.
We used Solidedge as CAD platform and Ansys as structure analysis tool to execute this project.
FINAL RESULT & CURRENT STATUS :
We delivered a product design with required specs, functionality and sensitivity.
We supported our customer during proto development. Our team played a very crucial role in proto development and proving the design through trials.
